Kareena Kapoor Khan, the B-town bombshell, who garnered applause for her power-packed item number in Dabangg 2, is all prepped up to set the 70 mm on fire once again. If rumors are to be believed, Kareena will star in the film Happy Ending alongside her hubby. While it will be a mere cameo yet it will put the audience in awe believes hubby Saif. Talking about wifey Kareena’s character in the film, Saif told media, ‘Happy Ending’ is a romantic comedy film. She (Kareena Kapoor) has done a scene in the film, which is against (her) type. It’s something you guys must not have expected, you all will be surprised.”
Although the excitement is evident in Saif’s statement yet it also means that the couple, who had concluded that they wouldn’t pair-up in reel life, have finally given up on the statement and decided to appear together once more on the silver screen. After giving back to back flops with LoC Kargil, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod, Nawab and Begum decided to bid adieu to roles opposite each other. If the reports of a National daily are to be believed, Kareena will either appear opposite her husband in a scene or she is most likely to shake a leg on a dance number.
The co-director of the film Raj Nidimoru confirms, “Kareena won’t appear for a song only. Saif and Kareena have scenes together. And we’re planning to shoot a song as well.” If sources are to be believed, Saif who is the co-producer of the film wanted his wife to be a part of this venture. When Kareena flew to Detroit to visit her Hubby on the sets of Happy Ending, it was then that the idea struck Saif. And as luck would have it, the directors too knew where to fit in Kareena in the film. What’s interesting is, Happy Ending happens to the couple’s first film together post-marriage. Albeit the films that the couple did together turned out to be duds at box-office yet the films starring Preity Zinta and Saif proved to be box-office hits. Keeping this in mind, the directors have also made sure to add a cameo of the actor with Preity Zinta; while it is still unsure if she too shall be doing any item number.
In the film, Saif will be seen ranting non-stop and will most likely be playing the role of a writer. A romantic-comedy at heart, the film also stars Govinda, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey and Illeana D’cruz. Saif Ali Khan who plays the lead in the film will be seen donning three different avatars. Produced by Illumnati Films, the film is co-directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The film is still on floors and the talks about cameo will come to fruitations post the shooting gets completed.
