Off Recently “Comedy Nights with Kapil” has emerged as a brand in itself. The show is visited by famous stars every weekend, mostly to promote their upcoming movies. This show allows us to have a close look at the personality of the stars and many a time explores their funny side. The entire Bollywood fraternity uses the Comedy Nights with Kapil Platform to promote their movie, how can the fashionista of Bollywood lack behind. Yes I am talking about the big mouthed Soonam Kapoor. Soonam is known to stir a big controversy after she visits a reality show.
The Delhi6 actress is going to visit the show for the promotion of her next movie “Khoobsurat”. She will be accompanied by her leading man in the movie Fawad Khan. The movie Khoobsurat is the 2014 remake of 1980’s film of the same name starring Rekha, Rakesh Roshan and Dina Pathak. It was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and N.C. Sippy. Khoobsurat won that year’s Filmfare Best Movie Award and Rekha won the Best Actress Award. The movie was a phenomenal success remembered even today for Rekha’s outstanding performance. This year’s remake of the movie stars our very own version of Audrey Hepburn, Sonam Kapoor alongside Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Afzal Khan. Also present are Ratna Pathak Shah, yes daughter of the same Dina Pathak who played the role of the strict, rule abiding Nirmala Gupta in the original version. Khoobsurat is directed by debutante Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Anil Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur. There is however a slight twist and a modern take to the story this time. Sonam Kapoor plays the role of a Physiotherapist who is free, jovial, loud, funny and fashionable and Fawad plays the role of a Rajput prince. Everybody in the Rathore household is enamored by Nirmala Devi Rathore and religiously abides by everything she says or rather, orders. Khoobsurat is a story of how two distinctly polar and opposite individuals fall in love with each other.
Fawad has earned a huge fan following all credits to “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” which is broadcasted on Zindagi Channel. When asked about his reaction on the criticism, he said: “The people you are talking about are very few. There will be people who will criticize. They are entitled to their opinion. Even if someone from India goes to work there, someone or the other will make noise.” He also went on to say that ‘Art knows no culture or creed’. Fawad is a Pakistani singer and actor he has also received two Lux style awards and is one of the highest paid actors of Pakistan.. Khan has been featured in a numerous commercials including, Servis Shoes, Mobilink, QMobile, TUC Biscuit and Clean & Clear Shampoo.
Last time when Soonam visited “The Koffee with Karan” show. She left behind a long trail of controversies by making senseless remarks and god she just wouldn’t stop speaking. And the time when Deepika and Soonam made unwanted remarks about Ranbir Kapoor and many others people in the industry, Soonam carried the tag of a “Bitchy Girl” along with her. Let’s hope ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ a “No controvery zone” show. But when its Soonam it has to be something big and bitchy.
